(Protestant) Church is located on Church Street in Charleston. In 1687
French Huguenots were worshiping in a church on this site.

Circular Congregational Church is one of the oldest churches in
Charleston.
It was founded in 1681. At that time the Circular church was
the first meeting place for the churches
and religious groups other
than Church of England.

the Civil War its bells were converted into cannons. In 1976 new bells
were placed in the steeple and again this church is known as the
lighthouse.
