Currently, the Arboretum is colorful - flowers are blooming, there is a delicate sweet scent in the air...There are many colorful flowers - all thanks to the another flower exhibition "Bloom with a View" in our local Arboretum.
Most
of the flowers presented are different colors of oriental lilies. In
addition to lilies, you can find many other flowers, including
hydrangeas...
Oriental hybrid lilies are colorful, fragrant plants created by crossing different oriental lilies. Their flowers are larger and more fragrant than those of Asiatic lilies. Depending on the variety, plants can range from 1 to 6 feet tall and look best planted in groups.
Lilies come in many colors and sizes. Their scent can be quite strong, which some people may not like.
The flowers attract pollinators, except for double-flowered varieties that have no pollen.
Oriental hybrid lilies are toxic to cats and rabbits. They are, unfortunately, the preferred food for deer.
Lily pollen stains clothes and hands.
Lilies are a popular choice for the garden because of their beautiful flowers and relatively easy care.
