Currently, Biltmore presents in its gardens an art exhibition of the well-known American artist, glass sculptor Dale Chihuly.

"Chihuly at Biltmore" it is the first art exhibition in Biltmore’s historic gardens, and also the first garden exhibition of Dale Chihuly’s works in North Carolina.

The "Chihuly in Biltmore" exhibition has been one of the most-anticipated artistic events in Asheville.

Aktualnie, Biltmore prezentuje w swoich ogrodach wystawę sztuki znanego amerykańskiego rzeźbiarza szkła artystycznego Dale Chihuly.

"Chihuly w Biltmore" jest to pierwsza wystawa sztuki w historycznych ogrodach Biltmore oraz pierwsza wystawa ogrodowa dzieł Dale Chihuly w Północnej Karolinie. Wystawa "Chihuly w Biltmore" była jednym z najbardziej oczekiwanych wydarzeń artystycznych w Asheville.

Baby raccoons

One day walking around the meadow in our community we noticed two small animals looking out of an old drain pipe. They were two small raccoons, and seeing us they began to hide in the pipe. One of them was curious about our presence but the second one (the one on the right side of the photos) was a little scared, maybe shy and kept hiding behind his brother or sister. 

A few days later there was a lot of rain - we checked this place again - there were no small raccoons.

Their nice appearance made them a favorite animal and although wild, some people treat them as pets.

Spacerując po łące w naszym osiedlu zauważyliśmy dwa małe zwierzątka wyglądające ze starej rury odpływowej. Były to dwa małe szopy, które na nasz widok zaczęły chować sie do rury. Jeden z nich był zaciekawiony naszą obecnością, ale drugi (ten po prawej stronie zdjęć) był trochę przestraszony, może nieśmialy i cały czas chował się za swoim bratem lub siotrą.

Kilka dni później były duże opady deszczu - sprawdziliśmy to miejsce ponownie - już nie znaleźliśmy tych małych szopów.

Podobno niektórzy ludzie traktują je jako zwierzęta domowe - ze względu na ich miły wygląd.
