Spring gardens - Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina

 


Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina is a private institution that was founded in 1826. It is one of the nation's top undergraduate liberal arts universities. And the campus is one of the most beautiful college campuses in America.The Furman University campus is very picturesque with its own lake and the Bell Tower. Around the lake there is a nice walking trail with well-known views of the campus Bell Tower.

The Janie Earle Furman Rose Garden features more than 700 rose bushes, a fountain, and a 19th-century Florentine gazebo. 
This beautiful spot is a popular place for photos.

Furman University’s Asia Garden is noted for its “unusual and tranquil beauty.” Highlights include Asia-inspired plantings like bamboo, Japanese maples and varieties if iris. Overlooking it all is Place of Peace with its signature Japanese temple whose 2,400 pieces were assembled by Japanese craftsmen without using a single nail.
